The therapeutic principle of CES is essentially to transmit a special patented waveform from the temporal region to the skull, directly stimulating the brain, hypothalamus, limbic system, and reticular formation system, which are responsible for psychological and emotional activities.

This stimulates the release of various neurotransmitters that regulate individual emotions and cognition, such as endogenous morphine (which has a calming and euphoric effect and strengthens the individual's immune system), acetylcholine (which increases information transmission speed, enhances brain memory, and comprehensively improves brain function), and serotonin (which participates in the regulation of various physiological functions and pathological states in the brain).

It influences and improves abnormal brain waves, restoring them from an abnormal state to a normal state. It significantly enhances the power of alpha waves (in a relaxed state of the brain) and reduces the power of delta waves (in a state of drowsiness and fatigue).

It rapidly reduces the secretion of stress hormones.

It rapidly improves physiological signals such as heart rate, blood pressure, muscle tension, skin conductance, and skin temperature. Thus, it effectively controls tension, anxiety, and depression, and regulates emotional state.

Related experimental studies have found that CES can effectively increase the levels of serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine in the brain, increase the secretion of endorphins with sedative effects, and reduce cortisol levels.
